How Huntaz Works

Explore real places, find hidden chests and outlast the other hunters. Huntaz is free to play.

1. 1. Join solo or with a team

   Pick a hunt and join before the countdown ends. Hunt solo or in a team of up to four. Teams lock when the hunt starts, and your team can talk in team chat and voice.

2. 2. Explore 6 locations

   Each location is a real place somewhere in the world, with streets to walk and corners to search. You have 4 minutes at each one, then 20 seconds before the next begins. Everyone plays the same locations at the same time.

3. 3. Find and open chests

   Chests are hidden around every location. Walk the streets, spot a chest and tap it to open it. Each chest gives your team Hunter Points, and rarer chests are worth more:

   • Bronze 5
   • Gold 10
   • Emerald 20
   • Ruby 40
   • Diamond 100

   A chest counts once for your team, whoever opens it.

4. 4. Black and Red Chests: take the risk?

   Some locations hide a Black or Red Chest. Instead of a fixed value, it changes the points your team already has at that location:

   • Black Chest: your points here go up by half, or drop by half.
   • Red Chest: your points here double, or drop to zero.

   You confirm before opening one, and you only find out which way it goes when it opens. Points from earlier locations are never touched.

5. 5. Hit your target or you are out

   At every location your team needs a minimum number of Hunter Points to move on. Bigger teams need more:

   Solo 50 · 2 players 80 · 3 players 105 · 4 players 125 points

   Only points scored at that location count toward its target. A team that misses it is eliminated, but can stay and watch the rest of the race.

6. 6. Win the hunt

   Your Hunter Points add up across all 6 locations. When the last location ends, the surviving team with the most Hunter Points wins. If no team survives every location, there is no winner.

Your Hunter identity: complete hunts to rise through the Hunter Levels, customise your avatar and collect new looks in the Hunter Shop.
